Troubleshooting and repair of the 1MZ-FE engine
The 1MZ engine replaced the 3VZ in 1994 and was produced until 2007, during the last three years of production, smoothly replaced by the newer 3MZ engine. 1MZ was a 3-liter V6 in an aluminum block, with an angle of camber of 60 ° cylinders, with forged crankshaft, lightweight piston group, in the timing system used a belt, which is replaced once every 150,000 km. Faults, problems 1MZ and their causes
1. High oil consumption. Usually 1MZ engines are quite old, with huge mileage and the issue of oil consumption should not be surprising, change oil rings, caps.
